Outdoor Guidelines

In an effort to make outdoor play on the courts more organized, enjoyable and equitable for all, the following policies will be in effect immediately:

  • All outside courts (tennis and pickleball) will be overseen and managed by the staff of “The Club at Great Neck Estates”.
  • The facility hours of operation for the outdoor season will be from 7am until dusk.
  • A resident ID will be required to use the facility. All resident guests must pay a fee to use the tennis or pickleball courts.

TENNIS GUEST FEES

  • Monday - Friday
    • Children (up to 16 years old) $10
    • No fee for children under 5 years old
    • Adults $10
  • Saturday & Sunday
    • Children (up to 16 years old) $10
    • No fee for children under 5 years old
    • Adults $15

  • CLAY COURT SNEAKERS MUST BE WORN ON THE CLAY COURTS! Any players not wearing clay court sneakers may only play on the hard courts.
  • Both tennis and pickleball courts may be reserved 24 hours in advance. Reservations can be made by calling the club at 516-233-2790.
  • If a player is more than ten minutes late for a reservation, the reservation is forfeited.
  • Players who show up without a reservation will be accommodated if courts are available.
  • Reservations will be managed using our Court Reserve system. Members will be able to view their reservations online at Courtreserve.com
  • Singles play (2 players) will be granted 1 hour of play and doubles play (4 players) will be granted 2 hours of play. Additional time shall be granted if the courts are unoccupied.
  • Due to the fact that the hard courts (courts 6 and 7) are now multipurpose courts for both tennis and pickleball, court 8 will be the first pickleball court assigned at all times (this is adjacent to the basketball courts). If court 8 is reserved, court 7 will be assigned next for pickleball.   This policy will allow both our tennis players and pickleball players to share the courts equitably.

The summer camp will have priority use of the hard courts Monday through Friday from 9:30 am till 1:30 pm.   During these times, only court 8 (adjacent to the basketball courts) will be available for pickleball use.

Use of Tennis Courts
